Removing Press-Ons

You can find a detailed removal guide with a video in my Nail Nerd Academy.

Optional soaking

If your press-ons are very firmly attached, briefly soak your hands in warm soapy water. Then proceed slowly, as the nails will be softer.

Lift edge & apply oil

To loosen, carefully lift the edges of the press-on with a rosewood stick. Apply remover oil along the edges and under the press-on. You can also use another oil. Briefly massage in.

This step can also be skipped if your nails are already very loose.

Gently remove

Wait 2-3 minutes, then gently loosen the press-on from the side with a manicure stick / rosewood stick. Do not pull it off.

If everything is already loose, you can also carefully remove the press-ons "dry". If everything is too firm, use oil and repeat the steps.

Remove adhesive residue

Wipe off adhesive residue or poke the adhesive pad with the pointed end of the manicure stick and twist the residue off. Then clean nails with soapy water (important, otherwise the press-ons may be too oily for the next application).

Note: Without a prior water bath, you can directly apply new press-ons. After a water bath, wait at least 2 hours (for better durability).
