Durability & Care

🛡️ Press-on nails are everyday items – just like shoes, they wear out over time. However, with proper care, you can significantly extend their lifespan and wear them again and again. ✨
1. Sealing = extra protection
Your nails already come sealed from the factory with a high-quality topcoat. This means the design is significantly more durable than many other press-ons and won't rub off as quickly.
Nevertheless, more protection is always possible.
Our tip:
Apply an additional layer of clear polish – especially for effect designs (chrome, cat eye, glitter, etc.).
- You can apply the clear polish directly while wearing the nails
- Or you can use a nail holder/nail stand to comfortably polish and let them dry
Especially after wearing, a small "refresh" is worthwhile:
If fine scratches have appeared, simply apply clear polish over them – and your nails will look like new again. Perfect for reuse. ♻️
2. Jewels, not Tools 💅
Treat your nails like jewelry – not tools.
Classics that wear down your nails faster:
- Opening cans
- Scratching off labels
- "Tapping with the tips" on the keyboard
Better:
- Tap with your fingertips
- When opening, apply pressure with your fingers or tools
- Avoid prying motions (this also protects your natural nails)
3. The basis for durability: perfect fit
The most important factor for good hold is the correct size. Not "almost fitting," but truly perfect.
If something doesn't hold, first check:
- Nail preparation
- Size of the press-on
- Is the nail lying flat?
Important:
- No prolonged water contact approx. 2 hours before adhesion (showering, bathing, washing dishes)
- If a gap remains at the front, the C-curve (arch) is probably not right
Shapes by arch:
Almond > Oval > Squoval (flattest)
If the C-curve is not ideal:
- Gently flatten the press-on slightly
- Choose a larger size and adjust it sideways
- Alternatively, wear a flatter shape
👉 Note: Filing or shortening can damage the seal at the tip – avoid if possible or reseal afterwards.
4. Caution with alcohol & care products ⚠️
Alcohol is the greatest enemy of your press-ons.
It can attack or even dissolve the material.
Therefore:
- Use alcohol-free hand sanitizer whenever possible
- Check ingredients of hand creams & cosmetics
Important to know:
The top of your nails is sealed with gel – but the underside is not.
If alcohol-containing products get underneath, the material can be damaged.
👉 Real Talk: Even high-quality press-ons react to this. This has nothing to do with poor quality, but is due to the material.
5. Care after wearing = longer lifespan
If you want to reuse your nails:
- Clean carefully after wearing
- Refresh with clear polish if necessary
- Let them dry thoroughly (preferably on a nail holder)
- Store neatly in the box
This way, they'll be ready for their next use. ✨
