Press-Ons Entfernung

Press-Ons Removal

🧴 The golden rule: Please don't use force! ❌ To keep your natural nails healthy, always remember: don't tear them off, don't force them. With a little patience, press-on nails come off easily.

What you need

    • Orange wood stick (e.g., from your LumiCat Press-Ons Set)
    • optional a cuticle oil - or the LumiCat Remover Oil

    Gently remove Press-Ons ✨

    1. The Check 👀

How firmly are your Press-Ons attached?

    • Already loose:
→ You can skip directly to step 4.
    • Still a bit firm or rock-solid:
      → Start with step 2.

    2. Optional: Water bath 🫧

(recommended for very firmly attached Press-Ons)

    • Soak hands briefly in warm soapy water.
    • This softens the adhesive pads (almost rubbery).

👉 Important: Heat also softens the Press-Ons – so work especially carefully afterwards and avoid bending or tearing anything.

    3. Lift edge & use oil if needed 💧

    • Gently (!) lift the Press-On at the edge, creating a tiny gap.
    • Can it already be moved easily?
→ Then you don't need oil. With a little patience, it will come off on its own.
    • Is it still firm?
→ A few drops of oil along the edges can help to gently dissolve the adhesive.
→ Massage in briefly and let it work for a moment.

(Tip: Any nourishing oil works – a special remover oil often just makes it a little faster and more pleasant.)

    4. Gently peel off 🫶

    • Slowly slide an orange wood stick under the Press-On from the side.
    • Carefully work your way along the edge until it loosens.

👉 If nothing happens: more time instead of more pressure.

    5. Remove adhesive residue ✨
    • Wipe off adhesive residue
      or
    • poke the pointed end of the orange wood stick into the adhesive pad and twist to remove the residue

    Afterwards, clean hands/nails.

    Important to know 💡

    • Many Press-Ons can be removed completely without oil if they are already slightly loose.
    • Without a water bath, you can apply new Press-Ons directly.
    • After a water bath, please wait at least 2 hours for everything to dry properly and adhere optimally.
