Which length suits you best?
At LumiCat, we currently offer two lengths: Extra Short and Short.
💅 Extra Short
Maximum length. Minimal in the way.
Extra Short ends approximately at the fingertip or extends only slightly beyond it.
Ideal if you:
- prefer very short nails
- type a lot or work on a computer
- want maximum freedom of movement in everyday life
- are looking for a particularly natural look
- don't feel comfortable with long press-ons
- are trying press-ons for the first time

✨ Short
Short, neat, and a little more visible.
Short nails extend slightly beyond the fingertip, but remain compact and practical for everyday wear.
Ideal if you:
- want short nails but prefer a little more length
- are looking for a classic manicure look
- want more nail surface for your design
- are looking for a good balance between comfort and visible length
Our Short designs are currently available in Oval and Almond shapes.
Which shape suits you best?
LumiCat currently offers three shapes. They differ not only visually, but can also have a different effect on your natural nail shape.

What size do you need?
Now comes the most important part for a good fit.
The press-on should completely cover your natural nail from one side edge to the other, without overlapping the skin.
Here's how to check your size
First, apply the press-on to your natural nail without glue.
✓ Both sides of your natural nail are completely covered.
✓ The press-on lies as evenly as possible.
✓ It doesn't touch your skin or cuticles.
✓ It's not under any uncomfortable tension.
Too small?
If your natural nail remains visible at the sides, the press-on is too small.
Choose a larger size. Do not apply pressure to a press-on that is too small.
Too big?
If the press-on extends slightly beyond the sides of your natural nail, you can carefully adjust it.
When in doubt, a slightly larger size is usually better than a smaller one.
Why 30 nails in 13 or 15 sizes?
Your nails are unique – therefore your set shouldn't have to work according to sizes S, M or L.
Each LumiCat set contains 30 press-on nails in 13 or 15 different sizes. This allows you to choose the perfect size for each finger. Some sizes are included multiple times – handy if, for example, two fingers need the same size.
Natural nails aren't standardized: the little finger can be significantly narrower, the left and right thumbs might require different sizes, or two fingers might happen to be the same size.
With a set of 10 or just a few sizes, it's difficult to accommodate this individuality. 30 nails give you the flexibility you need for a truly customized fit.

What if you're between two sizes?
It's better to err on the side of being slightly larger.
If a press-on is too big, you can carefully adjust it at the sides.
A press-on that's too small, on the other hand, can be under tension, cause pressure, or pop off more easily.
The right press-on should completely cover your natural nail without pressure or uncomfortable tension.
What about the curvature of my nails?
Besides the width, the natural curve of your nail also plays a role.
This curve is known as the C-curve.
Press-on nails also have a pre-shaped curve. If this curve differs significantly from the shape of your natural nail, the fit can be problematic even if the width is correct.
Make sure your press-on nail:
- lies as evenly as possible
- is not under excessive tension
- does not pinch
- does not hurt
- does not permanently
- stick out at the sides
A good fit therefore means not only the right width – the curve should also harmonize with your natural nail as much as possible.
